eclipse watching

photos

We watched the eclipse this evening using a colander. And not just any colander, but a thematically-correct colander with a star shape in it.

A slightly blurry shot of an image of the partial eclipse, as projected onto a bit of card. There are many light dots which are mini suns, with the small chunk eaten out of it pacman-style by the eclipsing moon, but outside the arrangement of holes in the colander a classic star shape is formed.
